On Demand Case Services
The On Demand HR Services cover the day to day human resources requirements for most businesses. However, from time to time more complex and intensive services are required to tackle the challenges faced by the business. These include workplace investigations, tribunal appearances and business representation as well as complex enterprise bargaining agreement negotiation and construction.
On Demand Case Services Include:

With employees becoming increasingly aware about concepts such as bullying, harassment and discrimination, we are finding an increase in the number of complaints being made. In order to manage risk of tribunal claims, and to maintain an ethical and compliant workplace, an external workplace investigator may need to assist in the resolution of such complaints.
On Demand HR are available to provide this kind of service in order to resolve employee issues as soon as possible, providing you with a comprehensive report that you may rely upon should the complaint escalate to tribunal proceedings. On Demand HR have had our decisions critically examined and found to be fair, equitable & thorough by the Fair Work Commission.
Whilst less likely to occur with our advice, from time to time, businesses find that they are required to defend the decision making process before a tribunal. For example to defend claims regarding unfair dismissal, underpayment, adverse action and human rights breaches.
On Demand HR has considerable experience in employment tribunal matters, and we provide far greater specialised expertise in this area than most generalist solicitors/lawyers. As independant advocates, our fees for service are typically half that of lawyers.
Services Include:
- Unfair Dismissals
- General Protections
- Underpayment Claims
- Dispute Resolution
- Human Rights Commission
- Enterprise Bargining
Does your business require an EBA/Enterprise Agreement for the purposes of picking up construction projects or for some other reason? Let On Demand HR work with you to develop a suitable EBA for your business including:
- Submitting all Fair Work Commission forms;
- Organising consultation processes with employees;
- Drafting agreements;
- Organising voting;
- Advising on pay structures and conditions;
- General planning of the EBA process.
On Demand Recruitment Campaigns
On Demand HR (Recruitment Services) provides recruitment campaigning services. Our method of recruitment is unique, different and for more cost effective than traditional placement based recruitment agencies.
The aim of our service is to provide what appears in the marketplace to be an internal and company branded recruitment campaign to candidates, but the process is managed externally for the business, who does not have the time, or professional expertise to effectively conduct the process internally.
Additionally, On Demand HR (Recruitment Services) has developed a unique mix of strategies which include various job board placements, social media activities and in some cases headhunting activities to effectively target both active and passive candidates.
In low unemployment environments, quality candidates are spoilt for choice and to secure their services for your business requires a change from the traditional posting of a job ad and waiting. In addition, we find in this competitive employment market, quality candidates are making quick decisions and sometimes within hours of applying have accepted competing offers. Many businesses unfortunately do not have the experience or the capacity to deal with this fast paced and competitive environment.
A typical recruitment campaign includes:
We will work with you to develop an advertisement that accurately represents your role and your business. We have had training in relation to the most effective recruitment advertisements and will utilise this expertise to help you develop an effective advertisement.
As part of this process, we can review previous advertisements, position descriptions and make recommendations to improve advertisement performance.
Once an advertisement has been prepared, we will utilise a paid advertisement on www.seek.com.au as the basis for each recruitment campaign. This platform is one of the most common platforms for job seekers and has the most effective “pre-screening” tools enabling us to recruit for you in the most effective manner.
We recommend posting a “stand out” advertisement on Seek, which is an upgrade to the standard seek advertisement to create a point of difference to other advertisements on Seek, by allowing us to add your business logo and fully harness the value of your businesses brand.
Our focus on company branding has been an effective method to improve application numbers. Candidates are increasingly sceptical of unbranded, recruiter advertisements with language such as “our client is currently seeking …”, and the feedback we have received from candidates is that they feel more comfortable applying directly with the business.
Additionally, we fully harness the power of Seek to target potential suitable candidates and proactivly invite them to apply for the role. To get the most value out of this, we have developed a bespoke Boolean search to quickly identify and reach out to potentially suitable candidates.
As a next step, in the initial set up of the recruitment campaign we will post an advertisement to www.indeed.com. We can start with a free advertisement to simply add more exposure to a greater portion of the market.
Indeed works differently to Seek, more like a search engine, than a job board. With this step in mind, when the initial advertisment is drafted, we ensure that relevent keywords are present increasing the likelihood that our advertisment will appear when a suitable candidate is searching on the platform. From time to time depending on the role being advertised we advise our clients to invest a little extra money to make the advertisment more prominent on the Indeed platform or to reach out directly to candidates who have submitted a matching resume to the platform.
We have found that one of the most sucessful ways to increase the amount of traffic to your job advertisment is to share the link across multiple targeted social media groups and pages which we have strategically connected with over the years. This has proven to be the most effective way to uncover more passive candidates who may not be looking on the job boards, but may be open to opportunities to move away from their current employer.
Once the candidates start applying to the advertisement across the various platforms, we will follow the below process:
Initial Resume Review
- We will review all applications and send the Hiring Manager a shortlist of the most suitable applicants
- We will screen out any that are clearly unsuitable and send a response to their application to let them know.
Shortlisting
- We will ask you to review the shortlist of candidates and advise which candidates you are interested in, and an outline of any specific questions you would like asked.
- Send us an outline of your available dates and times for interviews
Phone Screen
- We will contact the shortlist and ask some general questions about their experience, location, working rights and expectations about salary/rate.
- If this goes well and there are no obvious red flags, we will book an interview at your nominated time.
Once interviews have been completed, we will provide your feedback to the candidates. We will communicate with both candidates we are seriously considering, and those who are unsuccessful.
From experience, we have established that is very important to communicate with unsuccessful candidates to ensure we maintain a good recruitment image in the marketplace.
We will then request details of references for any candidates we considering for offer.
We have a standard template we will use to conduct reference checks, but we can adjust this to suit your requirements.
We will assist in the negotiations prior to issuing the offer, preparing the offer of employment, and assisting in the provision of any and all pre-employment paperwork.
We can also coordinate any additional pre-employment checks in accordance with your internal company policies and procedures.
