Clint Indrele established Indrele Workplace Consulting (now trading as “On Demand HR”) in 2010, servicing over 400 organisations including clubs, local councils, universities, transports and logistics, retail, building and construction, professional services and not-for-profit organisations.

Having graduated Western Sydney University in 2002 with a Major in Human Resources and Industrial Relations, Clint has began his career as an advisor for Clubs NSW before progressing to Human Resource Manager at Burwood RSL and finally as a Senior HR Advisor at Orica (Dulux Group).  Please see below for full details of Clint’s experience.

This broad and varied experience has left Clint with a wealth of specialist knowledge in aspects of the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards, and provides specialist expertise in many areas of Human Resources and Industrial Relations. Clint has run many cases (approximately 120) before the Fair Work Commission, representing a number of clients and individuals in proceedings such as underpayments and Unfair Dismissals. In addition, Clint has been involved in conducting approximately 90 internal workplace complaint investigations.

Duties included:

  • Assist line management in the recruitment & selection of key roles within the business including middle management roles in most disciplines (manufacturing, distribution, r&d, finance, HR, graduates);
  • Ensure all employees participate in the performance management cycle and advise on the management of poor performers in line with company policy;
  • Partner line management in the termination of poor performers, and appear before the industrial relations commission as required. Coordination of 4 unfair dismissal matters during my employment;
  • Job evaluation and job sizing of positions within the business & analysis of mercer and hay market data in relation to remuneration and benefits. Making recommendations to line management on remuneration and benefits for employees;
  • DuluxGroup project team leader for the Global Employee Engagement Survey, incorporating 16,000 employees across 48 countries;
  • Delivering of training and development workshops relating to performance management;
  • Management of disputes, harassment complaints and grievances in accordance with Company policy;
  • Lead negotiator for the Yates Warehouse Enterprise Agreement (NUW), Yates Manufacturing Enterprise Agreement (AMWU), Yates Wyee Manufacturing & Warehouse EBA (NUW), and played key support role in the Selleys Manufacturing Enterprise Agreement with the LHMU;
  • Advising line management and HR administration about letters of offer and employment contracts;
  • Launched the Selleys & Yates Induction project for new starters;
  • Development of HR Metrics within the wider Orica consumer products business platform.

Duties included:

  • Recruitment and selection of all club personnel across both Burwood RSL Club and Club Burwood including management, office, catering, bar and gaming, promotions and security staff;
  • Performance appraisal and disciplinary management;
  • Termination of employment and deeds of release;
  • Rostering of 200 employees using ClubLine software across managerial, bar, gaming, catering, functions, promotions, security and cleaning operations across both clubs, in accordance with budgetary considerations;
  • Management of payroll operations for 180 employees across Industrial Awards, the clubs two certified agreements and Australian Workplace Agreements (AWA’s);
  • Remuneration analysis conducted for various job roles and various employees. Occasional processing of payroll is also required;
  • Management of all Industrial Relations issues including negotiation with unions and/or other third parties as required;
  • Management of Workers Compensation claims including the development of return to work planning;
  • Development of all managerial employment contracts and development of the Burwood RSL Club and Club Burwood certified agreement;
  • Management of OHS issues / OHS committee;
  • Management of leave and unavailability applications;
  • General maintenance of all club personnel files;
  • Development of job descriptions and procedures for various job roles within the club;
  • Liase with various key personnel on Human Resources and payroll issues affecting departments within the club.

Duties included:

  • Member Enquiries / Workplace Relations);
  • Specialist Human Resource and Industrial Relations Advice to approximately 1500 clubs statewide:
  • Awards, payroll advice, AWA’s, Union disputes, HR Solutions, termination of employment (dismissal and redundancy);
  • Advocacy experience – NSW Industrial Relations Commission;
  • Underpayment claims, wage variations.

Generalist Advice on:

  • Corporations Act (Directors), Registered Clubs Act, Industrial Relations Act, Workers Compensation Act, OH&S Act, Other Industry Relevant Legislation;
  • Liquor and Gaming, Government Policy, Training, Recruitment and Selection, Superannuation, Workers Compensation Claims.
