Workplace Bullying, Discrimination & Harassment Training
Comprehensive on demand training course which will provide your employees with a balanced view of what contitues and just as importantly what does not constitute workplace bullying, discrimination and harassment. Designed to meet your complience requirements in this space by Safe Work as well as aid in mitigating claims at employment comissions and tribunals.
On Demand HR has been working with businesses of all sizes and industries to provide support & advice on all types of Human Resources and workplace relations matters. One of the core services that we provide to our clients is reviewing and investigating employee complaints, but we also provide representation to employers in the Fair Work Commission and other employment tribunals. Since 2010, we have represented employers in 150 cases before the commission, and carried out around 100 workplace investigations into bullying, discrimination and harassment complaints.
This puts us in a unique position to provide balanced training and education for your employees in understanding these concepts, and giving them guidance for when they should, and should not escalate these issues.
Having seen a number of complaints that have been escalated to government organisations such as SafeWork, and the Fair Work Commission, we know that employers are expected to have already provided adequate bullying, discrimination and harassment training for their employees, and this is definitely a key factor when employer liability is being assessed.
Traditionally, training provided in this area is focused on making complaints and definitions, but they generally don’t provide any balance on which situations don’t merit a complaint, and they don’t provide any other strategies for effective internal resolution.
After identifying this gap, On Demand HR has decided to launch a workplace bullying, discrimination and harassment online training course for employees, which is vastly different from other courses in the marketplace. Let us give your employees a balanced and realistic understanding of these concepts, whilst at the same time delivering on the necessary compliance expected of your organisation.
The course covers:
- an overview of what is, and more important what is not bullying, discrimination and harassment in the workplace;
- selected real life examples and case studies from our archives;
- employee behaviour which falls out of hours, or may occur on social media, as your obligation to provide a safe workplace extends to these areas;
- procedures for employees and employers to manage workplace bullying, discrimination and harassment complaints. In particular, we have a strong emphasis on self-action steps that the employees can take, as well as internal complaint processes to prevent external complaints to government bodies.
At the end of the course, employees will complete a short assessment to demonstrate that they have understood the training, and we have tracking on the test results and we keep appropriate records to confirm you have provided the required training for compliance purposes.
